Unlikely.

As the hundreds of thousands of commuters that leave Leeds every evening will testify, people are happy enough to reap the financial benefits of working in Leeds, but they're not quite so stupid as to risk their lives living there.

No - they don't have a forum like this ( I asked my brother as lives in Leeds). They have smaller ones i.e one through a radio station web site etc.. but certainly nothing as wonderful, widespread and well used as the Sheffield one.

Hmmpph! With an attitude like that, you might fit in Leeds very well. And if you want a change from Sheffield, you can always get three jobs to pay the extortionate rents in Leeds. And when you can evicted, you can join the hundreds, nay, thousands of other homeless people in Leeds selling the Big Issue! You might even get beaten up by encroaching on another sellers patch! Yes, all this, and more, is available in Leeds - the London of the North ;)

Night life? Yes, but I'm sure you'd prefer to keep your teeth and pretty looks instead.

parents - I have done nothing wrong, its just my parents do everything for me, and in order to learn i think i should move out and find my own way!

I'd advise you stay in Sheffield, unless you fancy running up a huge overdraft when you come to graduate. Leeds' rents are NOT cheap. I am NOT joking when I say you'll need three jobs to keep up repayments (OK, you'll need maybe one or two jobs).

Their bus prices, especially weekly saver tickets, are slightly cheaper though. If you can find a Leeds bus service that runs 24 hours a day, you can try living on the bus during evenings, nights and weekends to keep warm.

Finally, Leeds is full of Mancs. Not nice ones, but useless, lazy, foul-mouthed, foul-smelling Mancs. The sort of Mancs that aspire to the lifestyle of Les Battersby on Coronation Street. I should know; I had the misfortune to work with them for 18 months (smelly Mancs, not Les Battersby).

If you like Mancs so much, why not go to Manchester instsead :D Actually, forget Manchester. It rains too much, and you may find Liverpool is even more violent than Leeds :wow:

Stick with Sheffield :thumbsup:

I think you will enjoy leeds mate, my sister lives there and really likes it. Plus you won't be too far from your mum and dad if you want to come home for a bit. Make sure you move to a safe area and you'll be fine :thumbsup:

Leeds is brilliant pal.

IMO< I prefer Sheffield for living, but for the night life Leeds wins hands down. But then again u may be told to put your "hands up" once in a while if you go to leeds.
