It does sound a bit harsh, personally i found a sharp loud noise stops them in their tracks, try just shouting 'NO' in a firm tone ............. Its all ive ever done

Quicken did you mean fascist form filling? if so the form is so that any potential new owner gets the most information about the animal possible so it is for everyones benefit.
The thread is then closed to prevent just the kind of argument that people seem to want to perpetuate right now :suspect:
Talk about training issues by all means but there is no need to continue the rights and wrongs of rehoming the dog now, people have aired their views and thats enough!

I think half the thread is missing and it doesnt make much sense at all.

The pro-form is ok, although hard to read. But closing the thread seems sort of counter-productive to me, really. I understand about the clashes re rehoming, but if you're strong enough to rehome a pet, you're strong enough to take a bit of comment about it, surely? :) And adverse comments can soon be deleted.

To me, the problem with closing the thread is that interested parties are probably PMing to ask the same questions over and again, and a PM box soon fills up. The topic soon drops off the edge of the new posts and hardly anyone sees it. As well as the mere fact of when you see a locked topic, you often avoid it, as what's the point :D

On topic, twisting the jaw, whatever it was recommended for, sounds cruel and counter-productive of a well balanced animal.

well that was my view too rubes, but the powers that be have set it in stone that the threads have to be closed, so they have to be closed unfortunatley

If you want to email Geoff about it....

There have just been brand new templates made that should be a bit easier for people to fill out, still struggling to find an easier to read format for them though, but I'm sure we will eventually.

The adverse comments can soon be deleted, but that would mean someone being online to do just that 24 hours a day and personally I cannot do that and doubt anyone else could either.

People do not like the arguments and complain about them too, so really its hard to be in a winning situation there, and I'm not sure that lots of arguing makes the group a very friendly place to be for the majority.
I do see your point about the threads disappearing down the page...........
