Just had to make a short journey. Going out of Malin Bridge there's a lorry parked on the road blocking the tram. Gridlock everywhere. Came back via Western Bank and there's another hold up. This time there's a young lad stretched out in the road with the paramedics attending him (he seemed ok as he was chatting to them).
I think I'll stay in for the rest of the day
.
I'm not supertisious, nothing bad ever happened to me on Friday 13th, (touch wood).
Happy birthday Shiesh!
any1 know WHY its considered unlucky?
sure sum brainbox out there was told at school many moons ago.
did something really bad happen once on that date then it became folklore?
The reasons why Friday came to be regarded as a day of bad luck have been obscured by the mists of time — some of the more common theories link it to a significant event in Christian tradition said to have taken place on Friday, such as the Crucifixion, Eve's offering the apple to Adam in the Garden of Eden, the beginning of the Great Flood, or the confusion at the Tower of Babel.
:suspect:
GimmeSomePK 13-05-2005, 11:46 Not a good day for me. :(

It's my Mum's birthday today, and I'm hopefully going to pass my grading for red belt in Karate tomorrow, so all is good.
This is unbelievable :o
3 of my workmates were made redundant this morning :( A large chunk out of a workforce of only 15 or so!
Can't wait till midnight

'Twas because Jesus was the 13th person at the last supper.
:suspect: n look how unlucky that was...
In fact, as superstitions go, if you are the 13th guest at a dinner party - you are gonna peg it - real soon :o
