Hi everyone!

We still have not decided on where to live. Does anyone know what is happening at the longley area or Firth park? Are there any new housing that have been built recently? What about schools: can anyone comment on longley park primary and Hucklow primary? What about the rent there, what is the going rate?

There are lots of questions, thank you all in advance for your response!

Hi Timmy
I do not know about anywhere else but I live in Firth Park near the "Old Library", and they, they being Sheffield Council are doing them up.
I am having all new U.P.V.C windows, a new U.P.V.C front and back door.
Loft insulation
Brick pointing
Gutters front and back
The gas fire will be checked out
The best of all Iam having my electrics checked out, and quite right to, after all I am an electrical contractor.
When I spoke to the council about the cost to me, he told me there was none, I said even if I put the house on the market after it is all completed, yep not a penny :)
So quess what my house will be going on the market later on this year.
I will keep the forum posted
Regards
Tony

Hi Tony,

But what can you tell us about the area itself, shops, schools, park etc?
