My new comp package includes a Thomson wireless modem : I see that there is a facility for wiring. Will this cut out the wireless operation with its, I am told, constant microwave radiation emission?
If not I will have to buy a wired mod., like my other comp has.

Well considering the amount of background radiation there is in the universe, and the fact that radio, tv, mobile networks, etc. etc. all transmit over the electromagnetic spectrum of frequencies, I think you may be somewhat overreacting to the effect that wireless radiation will have on you.
