From what and where? loads empty as no-one wants them as they are usually on the rougher streets. I would wait til they gave you a 3bd as once in a 2bd hard to get out, no matter how many kids you have, even when they are different sexs.

Loads of familys, waiting transfers, who have boys and girls of senior school age sharing rooms with younger siblings.

Where abouts are you if you don't mind me asking? Because you could end up somewhere a lot worse than where you are at the mo. 20yrs ago these propertys were like gold, now they can't give them away even with all the money spent on them.

People go on about how bad it is at Manor and Pitsmoor, they should try living at Shiregreen, got to be one of the worst estates in Sheffield now.

Try and move to somewhere else Maskrey, especially if you have kids, you don't want them to end up like the scrotes on the estate.

Our plan is to buy in the next couple of years somewhere els but because i am in the process of learning to drive i need to be near my little girls school as she has just started. When i have passed my test i can drive her to school.

I live on Shirehall Crescent. There can't be many worse roads in Shiregreen, but i can always turn a house down that awful. I agree i used to love it on Shiregreen but its definately got worse. I only stay here because my family are all here thats why i can't wait to pass my test.

Good news - its nice to hear some about housing these days. Sanctuary don't seem to advertise, but if they do have empty properties, they may also let to people who aren't already tenants. For people desperate for rented property, this could be worth a try? This has contact details for the Sheffield office. http://www.sanctuary-housing.co.uk/Sanctuary+Housing/Sanctuary+North/Sheffield+office.htm

My friend who is living in one of Sanctury’s unit told me that the rent is really affordable but it took him so long before he got his unit and I think right now he’s negotiating with the administration because he really wants to buy a house in Sanctuary. My father is also planning to rent a house there for our youngest brother; I hope it won’t take so much time.
