Mikeybaby72 is unhappy.....he had taken to using the :banana: as his "signature" and today he has used these and they aren't dancing.

He is sat here next to me on his laptop :rant:ranting:rant: on that he doesn't pay these bananas not to dance. :D

Edit again: Have you pressed the Esc key? As soon as you do that, they stop dancing, and all other animated smilies stop moving too.

Edit yet again: Restarting Firefox makes them dance again.

Mikeybaby72 and me are in the same room....me on big pooter and him on laptop.....mine is connected to MY ISP and his is connected to a neighbour's WI-FI (who knows and gave him the code).....but the nana's don't dance for either of us :(

Don't really know. I'm sure hitting the Esc key is one of a myriad reasons why the smilies stop moving. Try clearing your cache, cookies etc/restarting your browser/restarting the computer.

Bacon sarnie and tea has worked wonders.....I just also restarted Firefox and they are dancing on mine.....Mikey is just looking to see if his are now :clap:

Just Googled for an explanation, the most common of which was 'it just happens sometimes'. Other explanations include:

- scrolling the page too quickly interferes with the banana animation.

- the banana wasn't downloaded fully before you started scrolling/clicking.

- a banana programming bug.

- the bananas are tired.

Take your pick from that bunch...

I tend to find that clearing my cookies fixes problems when animated smileys don't work.. For some bizarre reason I'm particularly fond of :rant: and :loopy:, so it annoys me when they don't work.
