Right. I decided I needed a better quality camera than the cheapish Fuji compact one I have had for a few years to take with me to South America next year, so I checked a few review sites and opted for the Panasonic DMC -FZ8 which is not a full DSLR but a bridge camera with SLR functions on it. Very reasonably priced at £149 on Amazon.
I have played about with the various settings using the aperture priority and shutter priority modes, but I eventually worked out that the intelligent ISO mode on this camera is absolutely brilliant. I've been out and about and below are some of the shots I have taken from around Ladybower and Rother Valley. Any feedback gratefully received...
