does anyone remember freddy levers mobile shop that went around he abrourthorne in the 60s,an old charrabang,itsold everything,just saw another thread and it reminded me of little fred lever .

Must have got the wrong fred the first time a bit too far for that old bus I can still remember him around the Arbouthorne did he live on Arbourthorne Rd top end ?.The old bus was blue and just inside the door was the spuds I can still smell the inside.Thanks for the momories again.

I thought it was red ?

a red van came round arbourthorne in the 70's but that was Franks van

I think that he had a hut at Myrtle Springs and he probably got his flowers and some veg there.

i remember that van!! was only a kid at the time, late-ish 60's once ran down eastern avenue as he was pulling away, he stopped, i bought a 6d bubble gum, he said "it'll cost me more 'n that to start ruddy van up ageeyan".

I remember the van well .My Dad used to by me a bottle of dandilion & burdock off it and I had to make it last all week.I never seemed to manage it but still had to wait till the next week before I got another one.
