View Full Version : Will the Blades hit form BLADES-EELA 27-09-2008, 09:30 ive been getting quite frustrated with some of the blades performances recently, especially the lack of pride at arsenal, dose any 1 think this will change ? Robbie Loving 27-09-2008, 09:53 Not today it won't. I'm gonna have neck ache by end of the day from watching the ball in the sky all day. BLADES-EELA 27-09-2008, 09:56 ye that frustrates me aswell mack69 27-09-2008, 10:54 Not today it won't. I'm gonna have neck ache by end of the day from watching the ball in the sky all day. is that your lot robbie or watford ? Robbie Loving 27-09-2008, 11:09 is that your lot robbie or watford ? Both :( I was going to play football instead of going to game, but injured my foot now, so being stuck going to the game :( Todays game has the makings of being the worst one yet this season. mack69 27-09-2008, 11:14 Both :( I was going to play football instead of going to game, but injured my foot now, so being stuck going to the game :( Todays game has the makings of being the worst one yet this season. did not realise Blackwell played that style off football is it a throw back to the basset days or worse ? bladebloke 27-09-2008, 11:15 Both :( I was going to play football instead of going to game, but injured my foot now, so being stuck going to the game :( Todays game has the makings of being the worst one yet this season. thats not the spirit robbie. should imagine they'll be a minutes silence today for jimmy sirrell. those of us old enough to remember those days. will remember real dire performances. not jimmys fault but a really badly run football club at the time. at least today we are dreaming of better times. even if they are only dreams. lets get behind them from start to finish. dont leave the house with negative thoughts bud it just grows. Dimitri 11 27-09-2008, 12:15 Watford have injury problems at centre back. I think we'll get a win today and get our season back on track. This game is fairly crucial as another poor result will increase the pressure on Blackwell big time - im not greatly fussed about the quality of the game just the 3 points. We played well last week and got nothing. JC01 27-09-2008, 12:35 I think we will suprise people today. And play with a bit of pride. And I think we will win 3-0 Rocklegend 27-09-2008, 13:18 Just heard the team news-no Ugo again. Not happy:rant: SteveBlade 27-09-2008, 13:19 Off to the match in 10 minutes.. Looks like we will be playing with three strikers.. Webber, Beattie and Sharp. Hopefully it will be a better performance :) . canadablade 27-09-2008, 14:12 ive been getting quite frustrated with some of the blades performances recently, especially the lack of pride at arsenal, dose any 1 think this will change ? Wednesday beat watford quite handily...No reason to see why the Blades cant beat them today at BDTBL and get back on track. Notice Wolves have already won today and are running away with the division :help: Cant see top 2 for either Sheffield team, play-offs more likely igm1 27-09-2008, 14:18 Watford were dire, anything less than a win for you today (at home) and I would start to worry if I was you ;) You're one nil up, so we'll see.... canadablade 27-09-2008, 14:21 Watford were dire, anything less than a win for you today (at home) and I would start to worry if I was you ;) You're one nil up, so we'll see.... Yeah but its early and its the Blades we are talking about :hihi: Think we will give Watford a footballing lesson today after the Arsenal kids showed us how to play ;) And yes anything less than a win today would be considered a DISASTER Dimitri 11 27-09-2008, 17:03 Wednesday beat watford quite handily...No reason to see why the Blades cant beat them today at BDTBL and get back on track. Notice Wolves have already won today and are running away with the division :help: Cant see top 2 for either Sheffield team, play-offs more likely It is too early to say the top 2 places are sealed up but Wolves and B'ham are opening up a bit of a gap. Still think B'ham will win it as they have good squad depth whereas I am not sure about Wolves' - I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Wolves finish outside of the top 2. I would have taken a play-off place at the start of the year so I don't reckon it's any sort of disaster although obviously top 2 is better. OwlGuy08 27-09-2008, 17:51 The Blades will finish in the bottom half! They have a really bad team and manager.. Any team in the league goes to Bramall Lane expecting a win ;) Robbie Loving 29-09-2008, 07:30 thats not the spirit robbie.. Aye I know, but theres just something missing from this season for me. Even at the begining of the year, I didn't have that buzz I normally have, and I've already missed 3 away games. Which is unlike me. BLADES-EELA 03-10-2008, 10:57 The Blades will finish in the bottom half! They have a really bad team and manager.. He's got a track record of talking nonsense. Rocklegend 04-10-2008, 09:04 Just seen one of the goals of the season on Soccer A.M.-Jordan Robertson's goal for Southampton last Tues.Surely if he's capable of that we should be holding on to him... sufc007 04-10-2008, 09:50 The Blades will finish in the bottom half! Any team in the league goes to Bramall Lane expecting a win ;) and the other teams in the championship are s***ing themselfs bout going to hellsborough and being turned over by the mighty fowls are they ???????????? get real. swervin 04-10-2008, 18:15 every village as one owlgay08 tosh13 04-10-2008, 23:42 I think 3 wins with us beating Bristol City 3-0 say's it all we have hit form ,it is a shame it's the international break. Dimitri 11 05-10-2008, 11:55 I think 3 wins with us beating Bristol City 3-0 say's it all we have hit form ,it is a shame it's the international break. Yeah the international break is rubbish for us. We win 3 in a row and the last win was 3-0 and Wednesday lose 4-0. Then we have them next - I hope the break will affect Weds. in a bad way and they will think about the Plymouth match a lot but in reality I think it is better for them and gives them time to regroup. For us though we will be going into the match full of confidence so that's good. bladebloke 05-10-2008, 13:23 noticed one thing. how quiet the board is today. other week when wendy went above us it was jammed... must be all stuck in traffic on way back from plymouth. :hihi: ukdobby 05-10-2008, 14:02 every village as one owlgay08 Seen yerr on another thread from Pitsmoor, does yer surname begin with B and did you work at FBT for a short while. Earwiggo 05-10-2008, 16:18 Can't fault Beattie's first goal against Bristol. Perfect planning, perfect delivery, perfect finish..... just perfect!  Bladesman 05-10-2008, 19:44 Quality finish from Beats didnt notice how good it was at the time. Beattie could of probably bagged a hat trick yesterday. 3 wins in a row? Are we hitting form now? :) Rocklegend 05-10-2008, 19:48 When Blackie comes out with ''We're over the blip now'' I normally fear the worst. The announcer at BDTBL (Gary Sinclair) normally comes out with things before the game that make me cringe then it blows up in our faces.Let's hope Laws says summat daft before the 19th... swervin 05-10-2008, 20:16 Seen yerr on another thread from Pitsmoor, does yer surname begin with B and did you work at FBT for a short while. yes was an apprentice at fb tools for 2 years 1970s you know me but do i know you CorkerSWFC 05-10-2008, 20:19 Quality finish from Beats didnt notice how good it was at the time. Beattie could of probably bagged a hat trick yesterday. 3 wins in a row? Are we hitting form now? :) Is it the worst time to hit form with a Sheffield Derby around the corner, wats the saying "the form book goe's out of the window" Dimitri 11 05-10-2008, 20:27 Is it the worst time to hit form with a Sheffield Derby around the corner, wats the saying "the form book goe's out of the window" A derby match can nullify the form guide to a certain extent but it's better for us to have the points on the board than not to. It would have been better for us if there was no international break 'cos we are on a good run and it is probably better for you that there is one as you can regroup after yesterday. I think to a large extent the form book goes out of the window unless there is a massive gap between the 2 sides in terms of quality. I think we are the better side but there is no massive gulf and you have been doing well and it is at Hillsborough. The one thing our form gives us in our favour is that it has reduced the pressure on the team and Blackwell. Going into the game on the back of a couple of defeats and then losing would have caused some fans to call for Blackwell's head I reckon. Now a defeat will be a blow but it won't be as catastrophic. I was actually partly disappointed by Weds. defeat yesterday because I reckon it will probably mean a lower crowd for the derby - a win and you'd have been proper confident and buzzing and sold more tickets. I prefer derbies (and any match) when the crowd is bigger - even though im not going to the match i'll be watching it. What do you reckon the gate will be? CorkerSWFC 05-10-2008, 20:50 At the most 28.000 especially with the day and timing, it doesn't help atall. bladebloke 05-10-2008, 20:51 Quality finish from Beats didnt notice how good it was at the time. Beattie could of probably bagged a hat trick yesterday. 3 wins in a row? Are we hitting form now? :) the goal was quality and so was his celebration to the bristol fans after his goal line clearance. ran into the back of the goal grabbed the netting and gave them a maori like tongue out smile. really rammed the you fat b*****d taunts up em. made us all laugh in the lane end upper. bladebloke 05-10-2008, 20:54 At the most 28.000 especially with the day and timing, it doesn't help atall. could be a sell out if you gave us the ones you cant sell. CorkerSWFC 05-10-2008, 21:07 could be a sell out if you gave us the ones you cant sell. Doubt that would happen i would let it happen it would be like playing at villa park or summat makes for more of an atmosphere. NERVY-OWL 05-10-2008, 22:32 28k? i still think at worse 30k like last season. if fans cant be bothered to turn out for the derby when we are 9th and usually play well at home theres something wrong.oh and i dont think the blunts should get anymore tickets than they got:thumbsup: ukdobby 06-10-2008, 06:22 yes was an apprentice at fb tools for 2 years 1970s you know me but do i know you DOB,used to knock around with Yer and Keith Pearson for a while, went to Huddersfield Fri night for a game. swervin 06-10-2008, 10:25 DOB,used to knock around with Yer and Keith Pearson for a while, went to Huddersfield Fri night for a game. i have got you now dave, should have known from avater how are you doing? i heard a while back keith lost his missus but not seen him for years.we used to have some laughs back then remember when we all kipped behind advertising board in the wicker stunk to hell and eddy noss remember him lived out at laughton common .like you said we climbed over wall at huddersfields old leeds rd ground fri night fond memories :hihi::hihi: it would be nice to meet up and have a pint i live at firth park but still go down pitsmoor gower st at weekends what are you up to these days |
