8) Nah Den Ace.......
Does anybody live on Hyde Park Flats? Could you tell me what the soundproofing is like?
What it is, at the moment I am living in a council flat........I am on the first floor, so I have neighbours above and below. The soundproofing here is terrible..........if I sit here very quietly, I can tell what they are saying and even which TV channel they are watching! I can hear them walking about or if they knock something over. When I am lain in bed at night, I can hear the guy downstairs switch his bathroom light on and have a ****! You can imagine what it is like, then, if anybody has a few mates round for a beer and to play music........arggghhh!!!! I am not exaggerating!
Anyway, there's a chance I may be offered a Northern Counties flat on Hyde Park. I know they were done up for the World Student Games and are quite nice. I believe the security is very good indeed. What I need to know, however, is how thin are the walls? Also, is there any difference in standards between the Northern Counties block (red) and the council block (green)?
I'd appreciate anybody's first hand experience.
Regards,
Spacehopper.
