View Full Version : Which local Championship side will suffer the heaviest defeat?
firecracker 26-09-2008, 12:09 So both United and Wednesday suffered 6-0 thrashings in the space of a week, and I wouldn't bet against somebody putting seven or more past at least one of our local Championship sides before the season is out. So which local Championship side will suffer the biggest thrashing this season?
oh stop trolling, they were freak results.
I don't think any team will suffer more than 6 in the Championship. In fairness to SUFc is wasn't a Championship match. However being the first team to loose to Derby in goodness knows how many matches has got to be more embarrassing.

They showed how crap both Sheffield sides are, and the Yorkshire football scene looks none too healthy at all. 6-0 is hardly a freak scoreline when you think that Wednesday have already had four put past them at Wolves.
again- stop trolling. It shows that the blades played against one of the best academys in europe and wednesday played against a very strong reading team who only jsut got relegated last year. if we were both THAT bad- wouldn't be both be in the relegation zone.
NERVY-OWL 26-09-2008, 14:12 yes, freak results. neither of us will lose by that many again this season. plenty of teams concede 4 goals so cant really count that

dont talk silly :rant::rant:
I would say losing to Rotherham in the Cup and getting battered at Wolves and Reading are far worse results.
Never mind, Takeover July 1st and Champions League football within 4 1/2 years :hihi::hihi:
I'm sorry no one could ever live down being the first team to loose to Derby after such a long drought. Even Paul Jewell was amazed according to the Rams website.
I doubt SWFC will play in Europe in my lifetime.BUt then again neither will United.

Worse, possibly; but not as embarassing.

The law of averages says that they had to win sometime, nobody died so it's not that serious.
As for Europe I think that United will be there before Wednesday AND in my lifetime.
I'm coming up to 69 by the way.
Pedant Alert !!! It should be lose and not loose. Sorry, couldn't let it pass.
The oldest man alive to date is 112 years old. Congatulations on planning to surpass him.

I think he's planning to surpass Methuselah if he's waiting for the Blades to get into Europe for something other than a duty free trip. Ah well, he's only got another 900 years to go.
