If you didn't know the next generation Xbox is going to be released this November!

Xbox 360 is announced - the successor to the Xbox!
Sources have confirmed that the next generation Xbox will be called the Xbox 360, the logo used will be a simple affair different to the original chunky cross. The console features an alluminium look and is shaped almost like a PC when stood upright, quite a contrast to the bulky standard Xbox.
Rumours have as usual being flying many of which disagreed with each other, but sources close to the company have spoken suggesting that Microsoft will be shipping out the Xbox console this November, although other details remain sketchy.
360portal.net can confirm that the image below is what the console will look like, and the name is definately the Xbox 360.

The machine can stand vertically similair to the PS2 and hollows in at the middle, like it's "sucking in its cheeks," we have been heard. Previous rumours had put the console as light silver, although some sources have said the final version will be white - a clear contrast to the chunky black and green Xbox console.
It is as yet uncomfirmed whether or not the Xbox 360 will feature interchangeable skins allowing users to change the colour of their console, however this would be a big move for Microsoft making the Xbox a very customisable console, perhaps further adding to its appeal.
As for the logo of the console, it is described as a simple, round nexus with "Xbox 360" written inside it. Previous rumours had simply the numbers "360" in the disc. This branding tends to suggest that we can expect to see "360" appearing after many game names, as happened with the Nintendo 64.
When contacted by various parties today Microsoft simply said that it "does not comment on rumours and speculation relating to next generation product." so some aspects cannot be confirmed yet, however keep posted on the site for more news!

Im not so sure I like it! Looks pretty ugly IMO, however some of the screenshots I found here; http://www.360portal.net/index.php?ind=gallery&op=section_view&idev=2 are extremely impressive!
Will you buy this or hold out for the PS3?
