Hi.

I need someone's help with installing an upgrade to the forums on my site (link in my sig), it's PHPbb which needs upgrading from version 2.0.14 to version 2.0.15 but I'm not sure how to do the upgrade :?

If anyone helps me, they can have a job as either co-admin or a Mod on the forum.

IIRC... You simply FTP the update then run update/upgrade.php.

Make a back-up first though;).

What version are you trying to upgrade from & to (no version number is displayed on your forum in your sig)??

Do you mean 2.0.14 to 2.0.15??

If so......

Simply get the 2.0.15 changed files from phpbb.com (unless you have these already).

1] Unzip to a new dir on your HD
2] Unzip the 2.0.14_to_2.0.15 files to a directory within the dir created in step 1.
3] FTP the "Install" directory to the ROOT directory of your phpBB installation.
4] FTP the contents of the directory created in step 2.
5] Navigate to http://www.yourdomain.ext/phpbb_dir/install/update_to_latest.php

Any use??

Have I mentioned remember to make a back-up before doing this;).

That could've been "accronymed" a little better (minus the "F"?);).

Don't worry it was a joke, but seeing as you are not familiar with the saying if I say it now you may get offended.
