This may sound stupid, but ive bought a new laptop, we've already got a pc and laptop set up for wireless, (with Orange livebox phone calls etc) how do i set it up? ive been told i need a security code, thats supposed to have come with the livebox, i cant find it :loopy:.
The usual man that comes and helps us wont come, i think he thinks its beneath him, or he thinks we're more clever than we really are :hihi:
My hubbys not interested in pc's so i have to try and do these things myself, but i know nothing, im trying to learn but it gets harder as you get older :)

The man that usually comes says its dead easy, it would be from a 30 something, but not for us, sorry to rant on.

Last 2 providers that I've used, the encryption key (security code) has been printed on a sticker on the bottom or side of the router that they send you. Look for "WEP" or "WPA" key.

As well as inserting the WEP code you also have to press either the number 1 or 2 button on the back panel of your livebox. When one of the lights flashes it then allows another computer to connect.
