Does anyone know if you can get CDR in lengths longer than 80 mins/700mb ?????
My brother-in-law said you can get 800mb/90 mins but I can't seem to find them anywhere....I am beginning to think they do not exist and he is confused with DVDR!!
Does anyone know??
I am trying to 'burn' an album that is 84 mins long!!
They do exist, but like you I couldn't find any. Did find some references to them after doing a google search for 900mb cdr.

You can overburn with many apps. Nero should do it but it is not gauranteed to work. search for overburning on the help fiel or the internet.

That sounds too technical for me neeeeeeeeeek...I have Nero installed but have never used it...I just use windows media player...I generally know what I am doing on that!!
i have some philips cd r90's which are 800mb/90mins.
5 for £50! hahahaha
i got these ages ago.
check out www.ukdvdr.co.uk
they have some
Traxdata 40x 90 min CDR 10 tub
£2.49 + p&p
Get a DVD burner, then you can get DVDs which will burn up to 4.2 Gigs or 4 hours of music or video.

Yup - 800 Mb are availabile - I got some from an independent computer store in Welling (I'm sure you won't want to travel 3.5 hours into Kent to buy them).
I found that the music I copied onto it dodn't play in my Marantz CD Player...

Firstly check using Nero CD Speed (pop into Expert Mode) in that little Teletubby looking dialog box, and it should tell you how much you can overburn, then, File->Preferences->Expert Features and pop in the amount that you'd like to OB by.
Then if all goes to plan, the coloured strip (on the bottom showing the length of disc), should move up to the amount of time you've decided to OB.
Bob's your uncle, and Fanny's your aunt (well mine aren't) ;)
Alex.
P.S - Haven't needed to do it, but whilst I was playing with Nero, I stumbled across its OB feature.
How strange - on attempting to use this Nero program for the first time since my mate installed it for me 12 months ago it says the album is only 54 mins long ???
Therefore I have burned the album without needing to use the overburn feature...
strange the album still says 84 mins long when played in media player and in itunes because I have just checked...
thanks anyway
