Well the title says it all really, these clubs are potentially good venue's, that have always been ruined for me and many of my friends by the idiot's who are supposed to protect the paying customer's and give the place a safe atmosphere. But which one is worse? :)

Never had a problem in either to be fair. Care to elaborate on your bad experiences?

I've always found both to be fine - not friendly exactly but Ive got enough mates! - and good at sorting out trouble.

Hardly been to DQ so can't comment..i think Plugs doorstaff are one of the best in Sheffield from my experiences...Seem fine aslong as you aren't causing trouble or aiming to wreck the club..Whereas the Leadmill & embrace doorstaff or the worse i have come across on a night out in Sheffield.

Have to agree with everyone else, never had a problem at all with either - never go to Leadmill or Embrace so I cant comment!

my expierience with most door staff is that if your ok with them, then they will be ok with you? there only people and i just have a laugh with them! :D

I don't know about the door staff, but one of the coat attendants at DQ riled me a while ago. I went to collect my coat as I was leaving, but he was outside smoking a fag or talking to the bouncers. I stood there for a few minutes, no sign. The cloakroom is literally just a coatrack, and I could see my coat hanging, so I went to grab it. Of course, at this exact moment he reappeared. Fair enough it may have looked a bit dodgy, but even after I explained the situation and showed my stub, I received a stream of abuse suggesting a hanger would be inserted in an uncomfortable place should I step into his domain again.

I've always found the plug doorstaff to be pretty good whenever i've been there - right mixtutre of friendliness/firmness that you need on the door

DQ defo has the worst door staff I've ever come across! I go out in leeds and manchester aswell as sheff and I dont think I've ever come across security like that lot. the last 3times I've been to DQs, I've had problems. There is 1 door guy in particular who is on a serious power trip. I'm an oriental, 5'1 petite female so hardly the most intimidating of the female species, but this dude in particular had refused me entry on a number off occasions for no good reason. The last time I went, I got in and was stood inside waiting for the bar to open. Something kicked off with a member of staff and a customer and the next I knew, the door man was dragging me outside, and has bared me and my friends for life!
I work In the salon industry so I have the oportunity to chat with a large community of people and I know I am not the only person to have had problems with this particular door man. What a meat ball.

I think it depends who's on there, last time I went it was a mix, a few cheese balls but 1 was fantastic when I had my ID nicked n some1 tried to use it.

Plug have a doorman, of somali origin who is racist and damned rude: the way I was spoken to one evening, and what he said to me was disgusting: I wish i'd have reported him!

But please, never go away disheartened always tell a member of management. We can only act on things that are reported to us or we see first hand. :thumbsup:
