Anybody know anything about what was known as the monkey (w?)rack ecclesall road south? It was a popular place for meeting potential boy/girlfriends during the 1930/40's. Its where me mum met me dad.

The ‘Monkey Rack’ in the 1930s was the walkway at the side of the old boating lake. It was, ans you say, the place where courting couples more than likely met.
