At what stage are they failing? Do they see each other but fail to talk to each other or do they just not find each other? Is it file transfer you're aiming for, or to use the phone as a modem?
i cant seem to find bluetooth on my actual laptop, i no its there because ive seen it on the model down from my laptop, and its in help contents, but doesnt display on the control panel.
im hoping to be able to do file transfer, but i dont want to get a usb cable.

It's possible that the software for it isn't installed. What is the model of your laptop?
If it's built in Bluetooth , rather than a plug in USB dongle, are you sure that it is enabled in the bios at the set up screen when your machine powers up. <del> or whatever . .
well im about to set my gfs e720 up to her computer soon using bluetooth as soon as the dongle arrives. you need to go to the samsung webpage and download the latest version of easystudio, set that up to connect using bluetooth and then turn it on your phone. They will do the rest and then its just a case of working out the rest of the program. :) will be able to help you out more soon i hope
