I've tried to download the latest n95 firmware and my phone 'died' whilst installing the software, its now at the Vodafone shop for a week. Anyone else had this problem?

Wow, thats wierd, I just googled "N95 firmware" like a second before coming on the forum. Had a look on http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=23&TopicId=14513 and they seem to be saying you have to change your "product code"??? Did you download it from a website or the PC Suite?

Downloaded from PC suite update program. The firmware wiped the phone completely as it said it would, but when it was re-installing the new version it said '15 minutesl left'. Three hours later it still had this message and my phone was left brain dead.

hmmm, strange, I was about to give it a go but after that...
Have you googled it? Or had a look on Nokia's website? You probably have but just checking...

EDIT: Oh, erm, well I was about to update it, but apparenlty I have the latest firmware anyway, I did update a few months back. Did you have full battery when you were updating?
