Anyone remember woodhouses, there were quite a few big furniture shops in Sheffield, i can't remember the other's, all the furniture was sold on the HP (higher Purchase).
Most people paid weekly cash amounts onto their stuff, no credit cards back then, not many people wrote checks either, was all cash , all entered buy hand in big ledger books.

i thought there was a large furniture store in woodhouse now LOL
