I've a plot at Hagg Hill, which I've managed to cut back tree wise, but having trouble getting the stumps out. There are around 20 of the blighters! It needs a mini digger, but getting one on to my plot would be real tricky.

Not managed to get up to the site for around 8 weeks now, and due to being really pulled out with work, I can only manage 2 days out of every weeks at present. :(

To be honest, I'm thinking of packing it in before a seed is sown.

Anyone know what I need to do? Do I just have to contact the Allotment office.

Any help or guidance appreciated.

Cheers

Jim

Jim,

sorry to hear you're thinking of giving up. Afraid I don't really know the answer about he tree stumps, but have you seen anyone else around near your plot who may have done it? I'll ask on the Facebook group as well.

However, if you do want to give up just have to ring up the allotment office and they'll tell you what you need to do. Apparently there's a waiting list of 50+ at the moment,

Could you see about an allotment share Jim? Maybe there's someone else who can't manage a full plot by themselves and would share the work.

Hi Jim,

we are also thinking of giving up our Hagg Hill allotment - the milage is is not helping. We are probably going to give up one of our plots pretty soon and then make a decision on the other one. We have our name down for a plot at Harley which would also be nearer for you. Send me message off line or on Facebook and I can give you the contact number for Harley if you interested.

Hi Jim,

Are you on Hagg Hill or Hagg House and which plot? I'm on Hagg House and have removed a few stumps using block and tackle and could see what your are like if you want?
