Hi
Ive recently moved house and we now have a vegatable patch. I would like to grow potatoes and carrots and perhaps cabbage. But I have no idea
1. Where do I get my plants from
2. When do I plant them.
3. When do I dig them up
See I told you I have got no idea

You can plant some stuff over winter but carrots and that need planting next year. Whats the ground like? If your not going to plant any over winter stuff then you would be wise to get loads of horse manure and dig it it so it rots down over winter. Older stuff is better.
I get plants from here:-

If you look at the selection packs for the different months you get an idea of when each thing is planted, if growing from seed you obviosly need to start ealier.
:)
Not really that much to plant now. Good idea of what to plant when available via link below. If you want to buy plants, there are various places online or try local garden centres - much cheaper to plant your own stuff from seed though.
