I'm thinking of buying the WII console for my daughter for Xmas but I'm confused what accompaniments do I need to go with it?

Depends what kind of games your Daughter will be playing, personally I bought the Tennis racket add on for mine, for the Tennis game on Wii Sports, the Classic controller for Virtual Console games, and a 2100 Wii Points card to download Virtual Console games online via the Wii.

You get a Wiimote and the Nunchuck thingy in the default package though, along with a copy of Wii Sports, and other games if you buy a bundle.

Mario and Sonic Olympics is crap though, as is Carnival Games.

They had one in Woolies at Hillsborough last week, I'd have bought it if I hadn't already spent £60 on pre-ordered Xbox 360 games that week.

You don't need the Wii fit although it is fun. If your going to use it in any way you MUST have 2 controllers and Nunchucks. The pack you buy might have 2 but if not get another controller and nunchuck.

Trying to play tennis etc is alot more fun against each other than sitting watching 1 person play.
