just had a text from a friend in swallownest saying the village is flooded by police,helicopters,armed responce teams etc,apparently its a load of outsiders come to settle a score with a local gang,any body in swallownest who can confirm this?

update.police stopping youths in street and searching them, groups of local youths appearing on street corners,main activity is centered around the park,two ambulances parked up on swallownest main road with police cars...............

I can see across to Swallownest from my house - can't see the police helicopter, and I should be able to see it if it's there....

I live in Aughton - saw 2 police cars heading back towards rotherham at 6:30pm with people in back and a riot van followed.
Helicopter circling for about an hour at 7pm
Out walking at 8:30pm, 1 car again heading back to rotherham with 1 in back, dog van flying around and 1 parked up just off worksop road.
Before that not seen any around for weeks...

I used to live in Kiveton and this 'supposed' battle between Kiveo-Swallonest and Kiveo-Killamarsh is still raging on... its pathetic.

We do not live in america and we are not living in the hood.. we live in england in small peaceful villages.

Its just stupid chavs with nothing to do going to other towns and ******* off the local chavs.. who in turn do the same.

Its very very sad if you happen to live in those 3 areas now.

I wish these stupid chavs and teenagers would stop pretending to be hard as nails trying to emulate our american friends over the pond- it really is pathetic.

i worked in kiveton when i first left school

rotherham and district voluntary council community programme

we used to go round old biddies houses gardening and painting and decorating
used to be in a large hut in the middle of a field........you passed a pub to get down the field :P
we also put up a park somewhere past the train station if i remember rightly

The current trouble that has been brewing in Swallownest, Aston and Aughton over the last week or so has been to do with gangs causing trouble around Aston Comp as I understand it as we live in Aston and my daughter goes to the comp.

S26 is supposedly the local gang and they have been getting attention for some reason from a gang of youths from Darnall, dont know if it has come about as a result of something happening somewhere else or what.

These things seem to go round through different areas over the years.

Ive told her that the gang is daft as who would want to sound like either a post code or a wannabee boy band . !!

:loopy: i heard friday it was a load of yobs from darnall,and youre quite right telling your daughter not to bother with gangs,never met one who could back up his mouth on his own,had to have several mates with him to make him look good, also heard a few were arrested,hope they learn a hard lesson in life down the cop shop
