lets be honest both Sheffield teams are not very good. its kinda amusing that the world beating blades are struggling. they can forget about the premiership for another decade.

It is there for all to see in the league though.
Just hope we can bounce back from this and get a good result saturday.

I've just got back from Bramall Lane and have to say that the first half display was shocking, as was Sun's tackle. :gag:

Second half was a bit better although Coventry could still have nicked it, if they could actually shoot on target! :hihi: 1 penalty miss and a 1v1 chance right at the end and they still couldn't shoot straight. Still, a good result with only 10 men and a big improvement on the first half. :)

Awful performance on a par with Saturdays.

Thankfully for us Coventry couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo.

Depressing night at Bramall Lane - first half absolutely dreadful, second not much better and only papers over the cracks of what appears to be a team of one footed individuals who aren't capable of thinking for themselves or getting into decent positions to support each other.

From where I sit on the kop, loads of people just waiting for the chance to get on the players backs - hence crap atmosphere, which doesn't help.

We just about deserved a draw, but any half decent side would have finished us off first half.

The night is just about manageable with the score from Reading, but if there is to be any drive for promotion, things have got to pick up, and soon.

Barnie - one p****d off, but honest Blade.

Farmkid asked me to take him as his dad is on honeymoon so I said ok. Had a good night to be honest. Would rather have been there than watching Wednesday get spanked. :(

Not bad at all I thought. The kop end looked quite full and after the penalty-miss things picked up and it woke everyone up a bit. As a footy fan who went to the game its a shame they couldn't win it but at least it means they're only above the Owls on goal difference.......which is completely buggered after tonight's battering. :(

My m8 went to the Blades game last night and she said United played better in the second half but got booed off at half time, like i said in another post weve both got different but obvious problems. We set up the goals but havent got a clinical striker to put it in the onion bag, where as it seems you lot seem to be relying on Gary Speed too much to carve out chances for you.
Isn't it funny how a team starts playing to there true potential when 1 of there teamates gets sent off, maybe We should start with 9 or 10 men Saturday we might do better lol:)
I need a pick me up today got no excuses for that bag of crap last night.

First half was dire although I did think we were coming into it a bit more when Coventry scored. Ten minutes into second half I would have gladly taken a point and still feel now that we got off lightly with the number of chances Coventry made and thankfully missed (especially the one right at the end :hihi:).

Tactics at moment just seem to be to lump it upfield to Beatts and see what happens but with our midfield that's about all we can do and needs sorting sooner rather than later :help:

Well all I can say is 40 matches to go,it is a bit silly worrying at the moment when only 6 matches have gone, last season under Robbo we were worse & last season the Owls did not win for 7 matches,so come on it was a bad night for both teams, the top teams at the moment will have there poor run it happens,I would rather us be poor and still be 2 points off the playoffs now than next april when we need to play well.Henderson looks like being out for while ligament damage in training.Well done to Sharpy for getting us a point when we looked like getting nothing.

I think last night just perfectly highlighted whats wrong with the squad- We have NO central midfield, monty will run his socks off but just is not upto the job, speed is too old now to go and press there midfielders so they have loads of space, morgan is still a liability at the back.

We didnt put one attack together through the middle of the park last night- not one, cottrill was the only player on the pitch who looked any attacking threat at all. and can someone explain why beattie was playing on the right wing for most of the first half?????

blackwell needs to get people in- and he needs to do it quickly or were going to be mid-table and out of the hunt come christmas.

We were SHOCKING last night.

Coventry must be gutted they didn't go back with a good 3-1 or 4-1 win.

We seriously need to improve, the long ball isn't going to work, as soon as we started passing it around we actully looked like we might get something out of the game but reverting to HOOF ball isn't the answer.

Spot on Dot, me owd. I thought we were improving as they scored too, but let's be fair, it wasn't going to get much worse. We were dire to say the least, and knowing what happens to us at Norwich, I fear the worst.

Their penalty was absolutely copper bottomed, and it was a real "we got out of jail" moment when it was missed. I actually thought that Sun got the ball in that tackle (not seen a replay), but it was an ugly lunge to say the least, and he had been skinned a few times just beforehand.

No excuses for the lunge, but in a way, what was almost as bad was the way that he stopped, expecting a free kick to be given just before, and gave away possession into the bargain.

I do wonder.

To me, he seems like a trolling closet Blade- who pretends to be a Leeds fan.

This way he:

1) Gets to dish out abuse when Wednesday lose.

2) Is free from abuse when United lose- notice how he never comments on them.
