Which is the best road to live in, in Sheffield, and why? Not area or district, just your Road.

In my road I have a Doctors, A Dentist, A paper shop, a hairdressers, a chemist, an Italian deli, a post office, a chinese takeaway, and, although I have never used them, a shoe manufacturer. I am a recovering alcoholic so dont drink, but for those that do, there a two pubs, and an upmarket jewellers. Not that you need to drink to use the upmarket jewellers........get that in before Viking does lol.

Anyone beat that?

No roads are good to live in, in Sheffield, they're all potholed (some of those may be big enough to live in, but not recommended) and too busy.

Try living in a house next to a road, much better idea.

:P

PS. Just thought I'd get that in before viking. ;)

LOL:hihi:

I once found I'd lived in a road overnight . . It was after a Friday night session with the lads. I awoke on Saturday morning with a banging headache and the cars and trucks going by didn't help.

It's not a good idea to live in a road, but sometimes it's the only option :hihi:

You lived in't road?

You were lucky!

I would say anywhere nice off Ecclesall Road just about does it.

Tough one this. Do you go for the leafy surroundings, low crime rates, good schools etc or do you go for down to earth neighbours who you can have a decent chat with? Unfortunately the two very rarely go hand in hand.

I would have to disagree with the Eccy Road post. Most people living up there are up their own arse

What is it about some people and Eccy Rd area? You can't park for skips full of old furniture in't road.
