My dress is mainly bridal ivory with a little black lace and my bridesmaids dresses are mainly black with a-line white detailing.
H2B is in a black suit with ivory waistcoat and burgundy rouche & handkerchief. Our flowers are white calla lilies and Bacarra roses offset with ivy and black lace. :)

Hello,

my name is Sally and I run a chair cover hire business in Lincolnshire and we have some new black chair covers if anyone is having black wedding dress, or bridesmaid dresses, they can match in fantastically with your theme and have a wonderful impact on the room.

To view our black covers visit the link below:

Other cover colours are Ivory and White.

We also have many different sash colours in organza and taffeta fabrics, as many bridesmaid dresses are made in taffeta this fabric really can be very complimentary.

Yes, let your Fiancee decide, she (like most of us girls) will have planned most of the details of her wedding years ago!!! Just don't do what most men do and leave her to get on with it virtually on her own. Offer as much input and help with it as you can, especially with making decisions like what photographer to hire etc. I speak from 2 marriages experience lol. where I had to stress out arranging almost everything myself.

My wedding had a chocolate and champagne colour theme - me in ivory, bridesmaids in champagne dresses, decorations in pale gold, chocolate etc. Carried through the colour scheme into the food, cake, favours too. It was fab! :D

From my point of view as a dressmaker I personly wouldnt put gold and silver together, they are okay for xmas decorations ect but not for a wedding,I made an outft for a lady who was taking her vows again I made her a soft gold suit,2 big bridesmaids in the same colour and 4 little ones in cream, that looked stunning,I m also making a suit for a lady who is getting married next year and she is having a pale silver suit with a red camisole under neath and the bridesmaids are having red dresses with silver accessories
Hope this helps

Hi all,

I'm having a bit of a panic.... might be a silly thing but need a bit of advise.
I have a baby pink wedding dress for my wedding, but I don't know what colour bridesmaid dresses to get. I'm having 2 bridesmaids, one is in her 20's the other is 2 so need something that will match (sort of).
At first I thought a light grey/silvery colour might look nice, but not sure if there are anything for the younger one. Now I'm thinking maybe a deep pink or a dusky pink, or maybe a white with pink detail.
I'm so confused?

Thanks, in advance, Linz

if they have a strong red or pink of any description, it may leech the colour out of your dress (so to speak)

grey isn't the most flattering or celebratory colour - unless it's incredibly pale and deffo silvery

depending on how pink your dress is, the white with pink detail may well work best

I agree with strix, white might be better with a pink trim, maybe a waist sash or something.
My friend is getting married in a baby pink dress and shes putting us adult bridesmaids in black with a pink sash the same shade as her dress. The little ones shes putting in white dresses with a pink sash

go for cream or a lovely warm colour (fudge like or mushroomy) with their flowers being dusky pink, this will look lovely together with your dress.

Strix

careful with your cream tones - the right one will look fantastic, but the wrong one will look too yellowy, or your dress will look TOO pink - if that makes sense

I was married in white leather, but it was only when the bridesmaids cream tops were put next to the sample that it turned grey  in actual fact the white had a green tone to it which (for the first time in my life) gave my skin a healthy pink glow. That was that - the bridesmaids wound up in the same tops in black :P
