I got this question on e-mail a while a go. I don't still have it, so I've tried to remember it as well as I could. It might not be identical to the original question. Apologies if it's already been done but my search didn't bring up anything similiar, so here goes:

A woman went to her brother's funeral. While she was there she met the man of her dreams. Her "soul mate". She got his telephone number but after the funeral, she lost the number so she couldn't get in contact with him. She was unable to get his number from other people who'd been at the funeral to contact him.

A few weeks later, she killed her sister.

Why?

Because the person who attended her brothers funeral, might know her sister, and attend her funeral too. She'll then be able to meet the man of her dreams again. :)

Now did you work that out or did you already know? If you worked it out, please place me on your "ignore list"!!

That's the right answer. Apparently, this is one of the questions psychiatrists ask to establish whether people are criminally insane (or something like that) and likely to be muderers/serial killers! I am glad to say, I got nowhere near the correct answer when I first got the question. The only solution I could come up with was the possibility that

a) His sister introduced the dream man as her new boyfriend and she killed her in a fit of jealous rage, or (more bizarrely)
b) Her sister was a cross dresser and turned out to have been the man of her dreams in drag!

At least it reassured me that I don't have homicidal tendencies!

You're not! I'm relieved that you didn't work it out for yourself. I was quite unnerved to find quite a few of my friends got the answer right without any help when I forwarded the question to them. :o
