The Red Lion or the Norfolk Arms..

Norfolk Arms is probably best, cos it's cheaper than the Red Lion and the food is better.

I can well recommend the (bottom) Red Lion. The staff there are really friendly, and theres a very good selection of food. The old harrow in the village is supposed to be good too, though ive never eaten there.Dont know 'bout the Norfolk arms though-Ive been too scared to go there, since a friend saw Marc Almond in there-Mmm,think I'll have a pint of horlicks barmen-hold on,thats not horlicks:gag:

We had a meal at the Red Lion recently and I was disappointed with it. (The one opposite the car wash). Anyhow.......the pork spare ribs were coated with bbq sauce (even though it was not stated on the chalk board). I hate that stuff and because it was hot it had dribbled down onto everything else! The table was cleared and my "full plate" was not commented on, neither were we asked if we had enjoyed our meal!! I later managed to speak to who I assumed to be the manager(who had also cleared our table) and voiced my complaint..........before I had even finished telling him my problem he was apologising for the spare ribs! NOT because of the bbq sauce, but because he said that they had been delivered a "bad" batch of these ribs!! He went on to explain that it really wasn't their fault and apologised!! Who's fault was it then??? He said that he had received loads of complaints about these spare ribs............so why then were they continuing to serve them?.......and to add insult to injury, tell us that it wasn't their fault! We won't be going back there again! Oh.......the rest of the staff were lovely and very friendly and the table service was spot on. The meal was a piece of chicken......piece of steak.....onion rings and tomato and chips with the ribs on the top of the lot and all served on a sizzler plate. Priced at £10.95.
