I live in Norton Lees, not far from the woods near Cat Lane allotments. Does anyone know if there are hedgehogs in this area? I know the advice for attracting hedgehogs is to leave a pile of leaves or have a hedgehog house for them to sleep in, but that assumes there are already some passing by which will 'sniff out' (or whatever) the attractive place to sleep. I have an abundance of slugs and snails which would make a veritable feast for a family of hedgehogs, but don't really know how else to get them into the garden.

Any advice, anyone?
