Yep, remember the Alfa GT I bought on 26th June? The one with the alarm problem??

Yep, it's still not fixed! Garage replaced the body computer this time and told me I can have it back on Saturday... Errr, accept I can't as the alarm went off again on Friday Night!! So it's still not fixed. After being in the main dealer 5 times, having the sensors replaced, the body computer replaced twice, the wiring checked and fixed and checked and fixed again.... Ah well, I guess it's only taken the two and a half months so far to not fix it.. I think I am obviously expecting far to much from them!

HOW HARD CAN IT BE TO FIX AN ALARM!

Just as well I don't get stressed about these things, It will be like getting a new car again if I ever get it back!!!

For sale, Alfa GT..... slight alarm fault...

:hihi:

Alfa dealers are notoriously useless. Get into an independent specialist as soon as you can.

But remember... it's still an Alfa even if it's sat immobilised on the driveway, and a Ford Focus would not look nearly as beautiful sat there waling and flashing at you :hihi:

They take useless to previoiusly unheard of levels! And yes, it would look good, well... I think it looked good... I should have taken a picture!

I'd tell them they get 1 more week then you want the standard alarm taking out and a decent (i.e. Cat1 for the insurance but with at least the equivalent bells & whistles - remote locking etc) system installing elsewhere, at their expense. ..and compensation for being without your car for so long - or you'll be demanding a full refund and handing the keys back.

Should wake them up a bit ;)

Get a second hand BMW

You can pick up Z4 for 10K and other models for FAR less.

Bullet proof reliability as well.

And there is a decent independant service shop in sheffield, so i've been recommneded.

I have their courtesy car, on Friday when they rang me to tell me mine was fixed I told them I was not convinced... They were desperate for me to drive over and collect my car which they had not really tested properly as they were desperate for their car back!! Give them credit; they really keep doing a half arsed job! You would think after 2 months they would want to keep it for a couple of days to make sure it really is fixed... I am passed caring!
:D
