i was thinking of starting burlesque classes in intake, anyone fancy coming? i have no idea where intake is so it would be good to have someone to travel with :D

puddinburner there are classes in stocksbridge, and chapeltown, PM velvet on here. I really need to start going again!

Go to http://www.velvetburlesque.co.uk/id3.htm (maybe try without the last bit if it doesn't work). There are classes in Chapeltown run by her too. My friend goes to her classes and loves it. I really want to start going so if anybody wants to come with me please PM me and maybe we'll have more confidence going together. I live in Crookesmoor and I think my friend goes to the Intake one so I don't really mind which class I go to.

Most of the Ladies who come to classes do actually come along on their own - there`s such a lovely, supportive atmosphere in my classes that you really have nothing to fear if you don`t have any friend`s to drag along with you!

Take the bull by the horns, and just come - you don`t know what you`re missing!

It`s the perfect workout - fun, sassy, and it also makes you feel sexy and womanly again, (which for some ladies, can be a bit lacking post-baby!) It`s a fabulous social event too, so you can make lots of new friends in a safe environment.

I go to both and started post break up type thing cos i felt a bit poo and it really helped boost my confidence both physically and emotionally cos i've got some good mates through it too. Its soooo funny. You dress up in your undies/frillies.finery/whatever the hell you want, you wiggle and shake your stuff, lose a bit of weight, gain some dance skills and giggle a fair bit. Laras really cool and all the girls who go (mixed bag of ages and shapes) are all really nice and friendly. I've got a gob on me so if you come on your own look for the dozy brunette falling over her own feet and say hi cos thats me!!! i go to intake and chapeltown classes. We're even doing a show in less than 2 weeks - never thought i'd ever do anything like that and now i am!!! pooping myself but you know....
