Hi all,
My iPod has recently been playing up, it only plays music from one earphone. I've tried various different earphones to see if it was just the earphones what was faulty, but i was messing around with my iPod & discovered when i squeeze really hard the top left hand coner of the iPod where the earphone slot is, it then plays through two earphones. But i can't keep doing that all the time espeically when it's in my pocket, so i'm guessing the earphone socket is playing up. Anyone know anywhere in Sheffield where i can get it repaired? And i really need it for my 2 week holiday in November! Saying that, it's been a good iPod to say i got it for christmas 2006...
Oh yeah - my iPod is one of those huge ones in black, i think it's a 5th generation one but not sure. :loopy:

Well, as with most electronics, be prepared for the cost of repair to be near that of a new iPod, so you might want to cut your losses?
They've just released the new iPod range, so maybe yours is trying to tell you something...

Yeah, i thought about it last night. It's also taking quite a while to turn off, and it did'nt used to do that. I'd quite like one of those smaller iPod's, just a small 4 or 8gb one for now & i might be getting one of those iPhones for Christmas, but god knows yet.
I suppose i'll have to dig the money out from somewhere... but i definatly need one with games & video on if im on a plane for 9 hours!
Mine is one of the coloured but non-video Nano's and it also seems to take a few good attempts to turn it off, it's only just over a year old. I took out the three year instant replacement warranty when I bought it as my 1st gen Nano only lasted two years, so now I'm just waiting for it to go bust so I can change it for one of the brand new ones as they look rather nice :hihi:

Is It The 30gb Black Ipod Video . Glossy Top And Silver Back.
I Can Repl The Audio Jack For You. But Without Confirming The Model You Would Be Looking At 40-60 Pounds
Havent Had This Sort Of Problem Before In My Past Ipod Repairs As I Only Had Cracking/no Sound Output But I Would Be Replacing The Whole Audio Jack Any Way So Should Solve Problem. Its No Fix No Fee By The Way

Yes it is, although i don't know if it might just be worth waiting until christmas for my iPhone, but i really would need my iPod for my holiday.
