Hi,
I live in a Victorian terrace house and am looking to replace my bay window with wooden sash (double glazed).
The first quote I've had through is for £5,000 which seems very expensive!! Can anyone recommend any companies for this?

Hi vzdhk2
My partner has done several double glazed, wooden window jobs; demand for this is steadily increasing.
I can't tell you myself if £5,000 is reasonable but if you would like to contact Lyndon, using the details below my post, he could have a chat with you about it and then arrange to come and give you a quote.
Thanks

sounds a decent price,be careful if your wanting something cheap,
tye lynthorpe joinery sheffield did some fantastic windows and a door canopy in wood for my old house 10
yrs ago and they still look good.

I'd second the frame up recommendation. They did our sash in our Victorian terrace. Definately worth giving them a bell . . .

Aren't replacement windows one of the things the government are looking to give grants for because of rising energy prices
Well here's athird for Frame-ups.we used them for replacement wooden sashes and got double glazed mock sash windows, wooden, which we're really pleased with.
