This kinda follows on from my other post about students.

If there are any students out there who are disabled and in higher education, on your financial notification does it say "special support grant" or "maintence grant"

I fear that the local authority have severly mucked up and mis paid me the matience grant instead of the special support grant, meaning that the DWP have taken this into account as income.

How the hell im gonna prove it im not sure. But I think this is the reason im getting so little income support

any help would be appreciated?

I am. It says 'Maintainence Grant' on my notification but I don't receive anything from DWP. I get my student loan and grant and I have a Disabled Students Allowance but I don't get income support etc so don't know what yours should say.

My daughter has a maintenance grant and then a Disabled Grant. Suggest you phone the Social Security Advice Line to see what you should have.

Mine hasn't arrived yet. But I am a part time student so that probably maqakes a difference
