Your sacrifice is still solemnly appreciated.

There will be a concert tonight on TV to celebrate their legacy.

Thanks for the info Don, didn't know if anything was happening, I heard about the large street party in Birmingham on tv this morning but apart from that, there doesn't seem to be much of anything on anywhere to help remember this very important day in British history :(

Going to a great concert to commemorate V.E. day tonight at the Spa, Scarborough, Spa orchestra playing wartime favourites, British Legion, 30+ local school children dressed as wartime ev acuees all playing instruments with the orchestra, most of the audience including us dressed in red white and blue, should be a good night.
