View Full Version : Formula 1 races 2005 season
Well can`t wait.
Here is the top 3 on pole and the news.
1 - Raikkonen
2 - Webber
3 - Alonso
Barrichello starts from the pits and Schumacher is 8th on the grid.
Should be a good race.
What a race, nice of Schumacher to chuck gravel all over when you have made a big mistake. He likes to share his accidents.
End Result for the top 3
1 - Raikkonen
2 - Alonso
3 - Trulli
I have been watching Formula 1 for 20 years now and Raikkonen reminds me of Prost and the Mr Perfect, and Alonso reminds me of the great Senna for his shear zest for winning but his love of his adoring fans.
I think those two will be up on the podium as 1 and 2 for quite a long time to come.
Have you seen the following Alonso gets from all thos fellow Spaniards.
Schumacher had better re-think his career as I think it`s going to be over.
Monaco today and the top 3 pole positions are.
1 - Raikkonen
2 - Alonso
3 - Webber
Schumacher is 8th, and brother Schumacher and Montoya start from the back.
I seriously thought there were not meant to be team orders this season.
I don`t for onew minute think there was something wrong with Barrichello`s car and so Scumancher was let through on merit alone.
It so looked like Barrichello was told to move for Schumacher, and then he nearly took Ralph out to get to the line before Barrichello.
Nothing gets said about him though, or the fact he crossed the pit line on the way back to the race. It angers me so much, if he is the fist class driver people say he is then why can`t he drive honestly and not cheat and get away with it.
I hope he goes this season.
Yodameister 22-05-2005, 13:22 What I don't understand about all this "team orders" controversy is - what is the point of having teams if "team orders" can't be used to benefit the team.
Its like saying in football that you have to shoot at goal once you get in the penalty area because it might give your team an unfair advantage to pass the ball to someone in a better position!
It was decided not to have team orders, because Schumacher uses them for himself alone.
Barrichello is a fantastic driver that has always lived in Schumacher`s shadow, when he was told move out of the way he did and it began to make Formula 1 boaring and fans hated it.
Whatever happened Schumacher always got the win and so those that made the rules decided to make it more intresting by stopping team orders.
Formula 1 has always been about how skillful you can drive not how much you cheat. Yes the team can help, but it was obvious what was going on with the race that Barrichello lead up until the end and then just before the line moved out of the way for Schumacher because he needed the points.
Yodameister 22-05-2005, 13:31 Are you suggesting it would be wrong for a team to allow one of their drivers to overtake the other if it made the difference between that team having one of their drivers win the world championship and not?
And would you think the same if it was a driver that you liked?!
It is wrong to allow the team to pick who wins the race, just because he leads the Wrold Championship.
When you go out on race day it should be the person the drives the best wins, not who the team want as the World Champion. World Champions are all about those that take risks and being the best, for me its not good enough to be placed there at your team mates expense.
If you had drove out of your skin to win a race only to be told moments from winning, move over and let your team mate through, how would you feel. Then consider how the fans that have paid a fortune would feel.
Fans want a race with twists, turns and fantastic driving not being able to predict who is going to win because Schumacher and Barrichello are the two in front.
Not for one minute do I ever think that Nigel Mansel would have done that. He drove to win and allow his fans to watch skill at the wheel of his car.
I have never appriciated any driver who does that, its not exciting, its a turn off to the sport.

Agree fully rosie.
We have to consider those who bet on the winner and then find that their choice has in effect 'thrown' the race.
I also feel that if one car from a team 'takes out' another team's car leaving their team mate with an advantage at the loss of this rival, then the entire team should be withdrawn and any points gained by this remaining car forfeited.
And one final change I would make:
Cars should be banned from pit stops whilst the safety car is out. Pit stops should only be allowed under race conditions, and bunching up behind the safety car isn't race conditions. It's a rolling car park!!

The good thing about the safety car 'rolling car park' is all the cars bunching up so makes for a closer race after the safety cars gone back in
The line up for today`s Canadian Grand Prix ;
1 - Button
2 - M Schumacher
3 - Alonso
Who will still be 1st after the first bend, I so hope it Jenson, and Schumacher does not try any of his famous bend take out`s
