I have just had this brought to my attention (as a parent of a child with Semantic Pragmatic Disorder), and thought it might be of interest to other members on here :D
Terry Gilligan (a renowned independent speech and language therapist) is doing an evening course on 23rd September entitled " Autism, Asperger Syndrome and Semantic Pragmatic Disorder. Practical strategies for common problems." It runs from 6.30pm to 9pm and costs £16. It's aimed at parents, teachers, nursery staff, and basically anyone who cares for children with these needs.
More info is available at www.talkingmatters.org
Incidentally, if anyone else has a child who has been diagnosed with SPD/ Hyperlexia I'd be really interested to hear of your experiences
