Sorry Basil, worded the question badly as i was in a bit of a rush.
What i mean is i want my picture to appear in a google search.
Where do they have to be for this to happen?

You need to give it an "alt" description in the html, and then hope that your site receives the googlebot to spider the images.

If you want for instance, your picture to be found by the search term "shakin stevens" you would have to use that in the alt text.
