Is the answer, plain and simply, "bugger all"?

Or can I exchange it somewhere?

There are people who collect these, look on e-bay, the value depends on the signature of the cashier and its condition....

How old?

Your own bank should exchange it for you or in the worst case the "Bank of England" will.

From Bank of England Website (http://www.bankofengland.co.uk)
After 21 November 2003 these notes do not lose their value but, like all old Bank of England notes, can be exchanged, at the Bank of England in London by bringing them in person or sending them to:

Exchanges
Custodial Services
Threadneedle Street
London
EC2R 8AH

OR

Sell it on ebay!
