Hi there

My laptop came with some rubbish MS Office 2007 trial, which expired. I have an MS Office disk and code , which worked fine on the last laptop, but I cannot get it to work on here?

I try to put the key in when I try to use the trial version already installed, it sayus it's invalid. I don't get why, as it is still MS Office 07?

So I put the disc in, which has been cared for, and it just won't read it.

Any ideas? No good having this laptop if I can't use it for what I want!

I have tried Open Office in the past but don't like it.

Help please!!

i think you will have to uninstall office 2007 and then reinstall off the disk that you have as that is the correct code for that disk if that makes sense

Good idea! I hope it works. But in the CP, in uninstall progs but, there's no clear 'MS OFFICE 2007' to uninstall. I wish it would all just go away!

Wouls a restore to a previous point BEFORE the trial version of Office work for this? Less drastic that a complete reinstall at this stage.

Nah i dotn think you can restore it, the office came pre-installed. Redissert, just uninstall everything microsoft office related in the control panel and then install your office disk.
