Anyone own an Alfa 166?? preferably the 2.5 or 3 litre versions?? are they any good???
Still on my quest to get an exciting (ish) car and you seem to get a lot of car for your money with a second hand one of these beasts.

Alfa Romeo, Came bottom in the league in the JD Power survey position 32, whilst Fiat came in at 31.
Italian Engineering at its best....

I wouldn't touch them with a barge-pole.
Dad has one, and they are extremly unreliable. So much so, that a few months previous to its next MOT, he'll be changing it to a Pugeout 206.
P.s: The Blaupunkt CD Players are rubbish in them!

was it the 166??? In know old alfa's are dodgy but the new ones don't sem as bad??
Hmmmmm...
I used to drive one quite regularly, although not mine. It was a good car, very nippy and fun to drive. Don't remember it being much trouble, although it did get taken away on the back of a truck in the end as the breaks broke.

Try this:-

I nearly did but went for comfort instead and realised I would hardly ever drive it the way it should be.Suzuki world Chesterfield had one last week 3000 miles one year old £6,300 .Looks fun but totally impractical.
Steer clear, it'll be as reliable as the British sunshine ;)

Alfa's are unreliable, get a saab. Besides when have you seen anyone drive a saab badly? Everyone will let you out as well, it gets you around the city faster. I know someone that does them new from 15k, pm me if you want their details.
