Hi,
I am writing an article on policing in the rural areas of Sheffield and I was just wondering if anyone who lived in places like Bradfield or Loxley. If so do you feel they receive enough policing and what would you consider the main crime problems in your area?
I would appreciate any comments on this topic, either PM me or reply to this thread.
Many Thanks,

I've lived in Loxley for abour seven years and never seen either a police car or foot patrol in the area. Having said that we have very few problems, the main ones are speeding and illegal motorbikes/gopeds.
Cheers
Mark
Might be useful RURAL POLICE (http://www.southyorks.police.uk/news/details.php?id=1118)
I live in Loxley and have never seen a foot patrol officer. Occassionally, I see a patrol car drive past. I suppose no one ever really thinks they see enough of the police (except the criminals, possibly), but I have had cause to ring the police on two occassions (stolen car abandoned on Loxley Rd, and suspected premises being broken in to. Police arrived in minutes....so yes it would be nice to see more of them, but they are there if we need them.
there is now a 24 hour presence of police officers at Deepcar ,hopefully this will make some young yobs ,who think they are beyond the law in the Worrall ,Oughtibridge, and surrounding areas think again when taunting old people and causing mindless vandalism.Iwould suggest anybody on this forum who lives in the North of Sheffield that they report any anti-social behaviour to the police at Deepcar station so that the police know exactly whats going on in these areas.
