Heritage Open Day
Sunday 14 September, 12noon – 4pm
An afternoon of walks, talks and tales in the Cemetery. Creep down the steps into the vaults and hear spooky Tales from the Crypt – if you dare. Thrill to the return of the popular Sudden Death Tour which will include the story of the long-forgotten Matthews Street disaster in which eight children lost their lives under a falling factory wall. There will be refreshments, bookstalls and a chance to talk to some of our experts on architecture, family history research, wildlife and conservation.
Meet at the gatehouse off Cemetery Avenue off Ecclesall Rd (Cafe Rouge corner)
