I recently had three days off of work to look after Babycamrat whilst his nursery was having training days. I made the mistake of putting cbeebies on in the background whilst he played with his toys.

Oh my God!!

This stuff gets inside your head.

I'm at work now and the theme tunes to Balamory, In the Night Garden, big cook little cook are wizzing around my head.

I've also developed something for Miss Hooly from Balamory!!, and don't even mention Upsey Daisy!!:love:

I need my daily fix of Carey and Davids Pop Shop!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who's been corrupted by this evil channel!

Jabbers has a thing about Big Barn Farm :hihi:

My son has almost given up on the Cbeebies channel now he is a grown-up (7) although I must admit :love:Captain DJ (http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/images/spacepirates/spacepirates_promo385.jpg) is a bit dishy....maybe it's the shiny purple outfit

Enjoy the Cbeebies phase while it lasts. Phase two: wall to wall Spongebob Squarepants will gradually rob you of your sanity :suspect:

The Jingles are ace! Best cover band of the decade IMO.

The nice thing about cbeebies is no flaming adverts for plastic tat (unless you count the programs, which in some cases are just long adverts for plastic tat (Fifi and the Flowertots in Napalm Valley anyone?)

I was watching Animal Planet in Sweden over the summer, and the adverts were blanked out and a quick zoo quiz was put in its place. In fact there's no adverts on AP, CN, Nickleodeon, or any of the kids channel.

The way forward IMO.

Bunny town!

The tottys good, the musics great and.... there are rabbits in it.... Talking ones...

Thr trouble is there are a couple of cut-price Laurel and Hardy characters and the skinny one looks like a rat in clothes. His neck comes out horizontally from between his collarbones.

I love stingey on Lazytown, This postbox is mine, and this triangular sign, the month of june the blue baloon! That song rocks!

Oh the jingles, I love it when they covered Dedicated follower of fashion by the kinks, now how cool is that!

Sportacus gives me the creeps - he's...well...he's the sort of person you were warned to avoid as a child isn't he? You know, the strangely dressed loner "Hello little girl - do you want a piece of sport candy?"

Son cannot believe that I know all the words to every song the Jingles have sung (so far) :hihi: because obviously I didn't have 30 *cough* something years to learn songs before he was born :D

I absolutely DETEST Hannah bloody Montana! No idea what channel it's on, but if i hear that "best of both worlds" song just one poor time, I'll pull my hair out! AAaaaagggghhhhh! Zac & Cody is almost as bad - think i've seen bits of the same episode about 200 times! We went past the days of baby Cbeebies and such like, a few years ago as the older 3 are now 12, 9 & 8 but I guess phase 2 of tots programmes will be upon me shortly, and will last like, forever! as speedy4 is now almost 15 months, and speedy5 is 14 weeks. But at least it will be a change from Hannah Montana  Speedy4 currently just likes dancing to the music channels. I can deal with that :D

My little one loves In The Night Garden. He gets so excited when it comes on. Other than that though he prefers the programmes on Milkshake like Roary, Thomas the Tank and Noddy. He does like Bunny Town though. That used to be his favourite when he was first into tv (at a shamefully young age!). I still know the words to the Bunny Town Hop! But then I think I know the words to every programme on milkshake and most of them on Playhouse Disney. On the plus side whilst they used to go round in my head all day they don't now so maybe it's just a little phase!!

Currently having Hannah Montana on would be fab (even though it drives me crazy - but check out Robbie Ray :) ) as the little one is currently fixated with Ben 10 and the likes (cant remember names of them all) and is having a love in with scooby doo and tom and jerry.

My middle one is waiting for Camp Rock and the new HSM3. Cant believe i cant wait, anything is better than Ben 10.

is it only me that likes spongebob *note to self delete theme tune off phone* anyway personally i think you cant beat the good old classic cartoons like your original tom and jerry, scooby doo, care bears, bagpuss and not mentioning any of the black and white cartoons i have in my collection

Give me Space Pirates anyday of the week. As others have already mentioned The Jingles are amazing. I was convinced of their talent when they did She's Like A Rainbow (Rolling Stones). Genius!

Kind of like Shiny Show (only 'cos some of the general chatter the three puppets make seems a bit spontaneous), same with Doodle Do.

Finally , must admit to having a bit of a thing for Sarah Jane :) So watch in anticipation of her being on Tikabilla, Higgeldy House, etc.

My DS loves In the Night Garden and Hubby loves space pirates especially the jingles 'disatorous...calamitous...we don't know where it all went wrong...'etc ;o)

Son has a total Igglepiggle fixation and is starting to love Upsy Daisy too - though his obssession started with the books which he saw before the prgramme, have you noticed some dodgy character traits to the ITNG inhabitants though... Iggle piggle and Upsy daisy are sex mad - any excuse to have a snog, Makka Pakka is an OCD cleaner, the Tombliboos seem to have their trousers round their ankles all the time and don't get me started on the Pontipines losing their kids every 5 mins - someone call social services ;o)

I think I've spent too much time watching Cbeebies! And we hardly ever have it on!

I think your all quite mad - space pirates is that for the kids or you some weird adult tv cult show!

My daughter loved Brum - complete tosh if you ask me.

We do have Bob the Builder on quite a lot due to catch up on demand sing it in my sleep sometimes.

Can't stand the Cary and David thing:huh:

I absolutely LOVE Charlie and Lola - and i don't even have any kids! I blame my sister, although she's only 2 years younger than me so that doesn't actually make it any better. Can't beat a bit of the original Bill and Ben though - want to spray weedkiller on the new versions!

Well, we have cbbeebies on all the time during the day (even though Rachel enjoys BBC1 just as much ahem)

I love space pirates and am always singing the songs from that (with OH looking at me questioning my sanity). I also like Charlie and Lola, Me too, Balamory, Bob the builder and Doodle do.

Not too keen on in the night garden, I just don't get it.

I am looking forward to stage 2 though because I like spongebob and tom and jerry. Glad we have a girl though, at least I will not have to do the pokemon and power rangers thing !!
