Christ! That's a blast from the past! I'd forgotten all about that. The bouncers used to let us go out and come back in, if we let them have some chips!!! Happy days in a haze........... Freebird 04-07-2005, 19:27 Think I Only Went To Big Al's Once-I Think We Were Waiting For The 2 O'Clock Bus One Saturday Night. We Ate The Chips In Front Of The City Hall Convinced There Were Bats Flying Around Those Columns.I'm Sure I Got Food Poisoning From A Dodgy Fishcake. It May Have Been The Barley Wine Though.I Prefered That Chippy On Arundel Gate (The Option). After A Few Pints In The Wap,We'd Nip Over To That Shop On The Corner To Get A Pint Of Milk (To Line Our Stomachs),Then Get Some Chips For The Walk Down To Rebels For More Beer. You Used To Get Loads When They First Opened And They Were Nice Too.They Don't Seem To Be Able To Make Chips Right These Days. |
