If they do, don't go, stay at home and watch it while snuggled up in the warmth and comfort of your sofa with some nice wine. I've been to 2 Most Haunted Live shows and swore NEVER to go again! You have to queue for an average of 6 hours (usually in the bitter cold), with no guarantee of getting in, even if you get there really early and are at the head of the queue.

I didn't enjoy either of the shows I went to, but maybe I'm just too fond of my home comforts and should stop moaning :hihi:

Yes slinky your right ! i have never been to one but i know people who have and they've said the same. Anyway part of the fun of MHL is reading the text messages that run along the bottom of the screen :D

Northern General clock tower area which used to be the workhouse would be good, I heard it is to be closed soon, so before its demolished would be excellent !!

Hi, I've managed to get to 2 MHL and enjoyed both of them.....at Beaulieu we only queued for 30 mins and got really good seats..infact on the DVD MHL2 i can spot myself loads of times..especially in the beginning as Yvette opened the show stood bang next to me. (fame..sad really!)

There was a brilliant private do at Pleasley Mills 3 weeks ago with Yvette Karl Stuart and David and that was a fantastic evening as was last Wednesday at the Hilton with Richard Felix.These guys really take time for their fans/supporters.

As for a venue wot about the Lyceum or The Manor lodge.

Worth trying Bessemer House the building were Firth Brown Tools had there offices now owned by BTCV. Several have been reported. Two dogs in reception. A person collapsing in one of the offices through the frosted glass when there was knowone in the office. A lady in Edwardian dress seen on the first floor.
The building was used as the frontage of a police station in the television series "Out of the Blue".

Went to the "project ghost hunt" meeting at the Hilton last wednesday,it was awful!! it just seemed to be a promotion advertising their ghost hunting evenings,
The medium was truly bad "have you been to a funeral recently,in a church,lady."no" have you been to a christening,"no" have you ever been to a church!!!
Talk about clutching at straws.
The past life regression thing they did was also highly questionable.
The highlight of an otherwise dreadful evening was Richard Felix,he was great,had time for everyone and genuinly believes in what he is talking about,he also said he wasn't interested in the hype surrounding most haunted,he just wants the truth,he did however add that MH has been great for his career!!
he also said the problem with it being a tv show,is that they are in the entertaintment business,and loads of stuff ends up being cut,stuff that the production team reckon the public would not believe,but he feels needs further explanation,he also said he was very sceptical about visiting commercial premises,hotels,pubs ect,because he feels it is in the interest of the establishments management for a ghostly presense to appear,obviously
leaving the door open to trickery!

That's fascinating to hear.

I've occasionally thought that on the "Most Haunted - Extra" programme, Richard Felix seems much more excited by the previous night's experience than the footage shown on the programme would warrant.

Perhaps putting some of the unseen footage onto DVD for those members of the public that are interested would be a good idea.

That would be a good idea,i actually felt a bit sorry for richard,when he came on "stage" he wanted to talk about his experiences and beliefs,but it rapidly declined into a q&a about MH,which in fairness to him,he was only too happy to oblige in,he gave a fair bit of insight into the programme,like Yvette being genuinly scared when she cries,and when MH live is on Derek hams it up (even more) to get the auidience interested.
He mentioned one event which was dismissed as a hoax by the team,when a spoon was supposedly thrown by a spirit,he wanted this investigating further because he reasoned,would the curator of the location allow a 15th century artifact (spoon) to be abused in that way?
I got the impression he was frustrated at the "razamatazz" which surrounds the show,he also mentioned MH live has paid for itself by the time the first ads have been aired.
All in all he seemed a very genuine bloke(did say he would ***t himself if he saw a ghost,but at the same time would love to see one)

They filmed a Most Haunted in Bolsover at Bolsover Castle. I know this is not South Yorkshire but hey, it's pretty close.

What about Carbrook Hall that is supposed to be haunted. Or the tunnels under Fargate. The Birley on Birley Moor Road is supposed to be haunted too. My mum used to work there, told me some spooky stories.

I would love for them to come round Thorpe Salvin, Harthill and North Anston (Anston Stones) for a couple of nights just to check out Packman Lane- I just wanna see what Derek has to say about it - or any other medium for that matter.

Or the pub thats haunted near the Meadowhall retail park, which one is it, The Carbrook Hotel??

On the subject of badpsychic.com, MHL should definately come to Sheffield but minus Derek Acorah! (See above website). He's seriously lost my vote in terms of being a MH favourite (for want of a better description). He's about as psychic as my armpit. Get rid of him and give Most Haunted it's credibility back.

How people fall for this stuff is beyond me, at first maybe but now it's got so over the top. :loopy:

Was this particular episode on one of later series of Most Haunted? Has it been televised yet?

I know a girl who worked at Bolsover Castle for some time, and from what she told me, I always thought it would be great for the MH Team to go there.

Apparently the girl I knew, used to open up in the mornings on her own, and almost every day, she would 'feel' the ghosts around her. No kidding, she would regularly feel them tapping her on the shoulder, tugging gently at her hair, but there was never anyone there. A couple of cleaners also packed in working there, because they had been scared to death. The girl I know mentioned that on one particular occasion, a cleaner unwound the wire on a hoover and put the plug in, ready to hoover the floor, she left the room for just a matter of minutes, and when she came back, the hoover plug had been taken back out of the socket, and the wire was wound back up around the hoover again!! The cleaner was on her own, there was no-one there that could have done it in the amount of time she was gone!!

It is genuinely extremely haunted that place. I asked her if she was frightened, but she said she had gotten used to it!!! I'd be absolutely terrified if it was me.

I'd love to see this episode. If its already on DVD, then I want to buy it!!

Its all commercialised now, all they want is ratings. And some idiots still belive what goes on MH is true, I mean come on, remember the spoon flying incident? You cant tell me that a camera man, or sound man, or whatever was nelt on the floor and just tossed the spoon up, what a load of cobblers.

I loved the first couple of series when they were still finding their feet and everything was fresh and new to everyone, but it's so formulaic now I can hardly watch it.

Some of it now is so obviously fake it makes me cringe - it's such a shame, it used to be genuinely innovative tv.

The old Radio Sheffield building on Westbourne Road. I've come across it in a couple of Sheffield ghost books (it's in the Valerie Salim one, I'm sure)- it's also a matter of seconds away from my house :D

The area the Old Blue Bell (Cavells) stands on was a graveyard. It goes right back and the union building and the Dove and Rainbow are built on the same graveyard. I'm not sure if at one time it joined up with the cathedral. The cellar of the ball was the pub till it was modernised in the sixties.
