Why would WBA let Brunt go on loan when he's in their first team squad? He's started two out of their three Premiership games so far this season.

I could see Stoke letting Whelan go out on loan though. Personally I always thought he was vastly overrated, scoring a few good goals overshadowed his general weaknesses - that said, he's still better than our current midfield!
