When I got my Eddy from Dalmatian Welfare he was 11 and a half years old.

I thought an old dog would be good as Takara was only young and I didn't want to have to cope with two young dalmatians bouncing around, playing and generally winding each other up and driving me up the wall!

But no.

Eddy is going to be 14 in January and I am sitting here having a drink before we set off for a walk (a little late, I admit) with both of them jumping around like idiots, Eddy jumping onto the sofa so that he can then dive bomb Takara from above and teeth everywhere.
Eddy can't make up his mind whether he wants to be on the sofa or off (although he's not even meant to be on it!) and has now stolen Takara's ball just to wind her up as he doesn't even like tennis balls.

Best laid plans... and all that :lol:

Well, you've seen the size of the dog basket in our house - supposedly for the two beagles we were going to have

I think we'd be banned from seeing Mr Strix's parents if we got another :(

besides, Brude's got a thing for Rotts, and as Lola looked whistfully at the dog bed last night and decided maybe she wouldn't fit in it, I don't thing Brude will be sharing it with any Rotts he brings home either

He sounds a lot of fun.
